New York City is the largest city in the state of New York and the city with the largest metropolitan area in the United States of America. New York has long been a cultural arts center for the United States as well as the major hub for U.S. business and economy.
Following the 11/2 Psychic Shockwave, New York City tourism plummeted due to the constant anxiety and fear of alien squids dropping from the skies. Advertisement campaigns were set up in the hopes of encouraging tourism including one commercial from 2019 called “Why We Came Back”. Despite these efforts, New York has not yet fully recovered.
