List of Spider-Man storylines. The superhero Spider-Man has appeared in many American comic books published by Marvel Comics since he first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962). The character has since been featured in various storylines, forming longer story arcs.
The first Spider-Man film of the trilogy was released on May 3, 2002, followed by Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007). A third sequel was originally scheduled to be released in 2011; however, Sony later decided to reboot the franchise with a new director and cast.
