Stanton is a village and civil parish in Tewkesbury Borough, Gloucestershire, England. The village is a spring line settlement at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment, about 2.5 miles (4 km) southwest of Broadway in neighbouring Worcestershire .

This is a conservation area and the village no longer has any shops, school or post office.
Inside, above the capitals in the nave, find the pagan symbols for the sun and the moon. While the church probably dates back to the ninth century, today's building is mostly 15th century, with 13th-century transepts. On the north transept, medieval frescoes show faintly through the 17th-century whitewash.
From the 17 th century onwards there are references to a school provided by successive vicars. The existing school building was constructed in 1849 and was in use until the school closed in 1969. It is now the Village Hall. A working forge existed in the centre of the village until recent years.
We do not know when the earliest settlement at Stanton was established, but there was farming taking place in the area as early as 2500 BC. We do know that there must have been a settlement here by the 9th century, and probably long before that date.
