   Our original school hall was built in 1928, and our first school gymnasium in 1935. Further building work took place in the 1950s and 1960s as the school continued to flourish and grow in popularity. The school quickly became very popular and well respected, and an extensive building programme began. Our original school hall was built in 1928, and our first school gymnasium in 1935.

   • In 2022, we refurbished further classrooms, also updating our seating, sound and lighting equipment in our main hall. This year we celebrated Purbrook Park's 100 year anniversary, by holding a Centenary Celebration Summer Fayre on our school field, in conjunction with Alumni School tours in July 2024.

   • The first school in PURBROOK provided for everybody was built in 1844 by John Deverall, Esq., the local personage, re-builder of PURBROOK PARK, and later Lord of the Manor. Seven years later a school was built in association with the Church of St John at Purbrook and Squire Deveral's building became the reading and lecture room.
