Barbarians are attackable NPCs found in the Barbarian Village and Outpost. They are commonly fought for training by lower level players due to their low Defence and the many obstacles in the Barbarian Village usable as Safespot.

Honestly the best time for BA was near the release of OSRS since it was only BA fanatics who bothered do it since there were no diaries, pets or obsession we have today with fighter torsos. Just BA nerds who did it loads back in the day who were all thrilled to play it as it was.
