When submerged in Shimmer, the Guide will transform into his Shimmered form. This has no impact on gameplay or dialogue and is only a visual change. He can be returned to his classic look by submerging him in Shimmer again.
•On the PC, Console, Mobile, and tModLoader versions, considering there are no downsides to having the Guide unhappy, the player could simply put the Guide anywhere in the world without any consequences. The best place for the Guide is the Glowing Mushroom Biome with the Truffle, as he loves the Guide.
•The Guide's crafting tips for weapons show adjusted damage based on any bonuses the player currently has equipped, such as the Molten armor's set bonus. Unequip damage-adjusting items while speaking to the Guide to see base damage. This also applies to critical strike chance.
•While NPCs cannot usually be attacked directly by players, the Guide Voodoo Doll will allow players to attack the Guide.
•The Guide, like any other friendly NPC, will not respawn unless it is day.

Oct 29, 2020 · Hopefully this guide helps a little when trying out summoners. I'm a pretty casual player myself, so if I'm misinformed on any of these self proclaimed bests, don't shoot me. I'm just trying to help people that don't know what path to take when starting out, much like myself. Have fun, and whip some Terrarian butt.
