On September 17, 1951, Rev. George and Mrs. Harold Deane Akins, launched SCPS as the "Evangelical Bible Institute" with eight students. It officially became Savannah Christian School in 1954, and then Savannah Christian Preparatory School (SCPS) in 1978.

Megan grew up in Savannah and attended Savannah Christian Prep for High School, from which she graduated in 2005. From there, she attended Georgia Southern University and earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting (2009) and Master of Accounting (2011).

Oct 2, 2024 · Savannah Christian Prep School was an amazing school, and I loved waking up every morning knowing that I was going to such a Christian based school. The teachers, students, parents, and all other faculty showed nothing but love and guidance throughout my whole time at SCPS!
