Robot Wars: The Fourth Wars (also referred to as Series 4 and Robot Wars 4 by roboteers and show personalities) was the fourth series of the British television game show Robot Wars. It was originally broadcast from 2000 to 2001 on BBC Two.
The original run of the show consisted of six series broadcast on BBC Two from 20 February 1998 to 4 October 2002 (though the fifth and sixth series originally aired on BBC Choice), followed by a seventh series broadcast on Channel 5 from 2 November 2003 to 7 March 2004.

The show was originally broadcast on BBC Two on Friday evenings for the first four series, moving to BBC Choice on weekday evenings for the fifth and sixth series and both series of Extreme, with all four series being repeated on BBC Two in its regular Friday timeslot shortly after the original broadcast.

Robot Wars returns to UK TV screens tonight, 18 years after the show first began. Hosted by Jeremy Clarkson and Philippa Forrester, and later Craig Charles, the show pitted mechanical monsters against each other in the arena to see which would come out on top.

• 3 yr. ago. Might have timed exclusivity arrangements with Nintendo/Sony not to release on PC, still effective for 2-3 years after release, not sure how long those things usually last. Could one of the series license holders in there (CLAMP/Rayearth?) only gave them license to use the the IP for console games and not PC.
