Robot Wars: The Fourth Wars (also referred to as Series 4 and Robot Wars 4 by roboteers and show personalities) was the fourth series of the British television game show Robot Wars. It was originally broadcast from 2000 to 2001 on BBC Two.
The original run of the show consisted of six series broadcast on BBC Two from 20 February 1998 to 4 October 2002 (though the fifth and sixth series originally aired on BBC Choice), followed by a seventh series broadcast on Channel 5 from 2 November 2003 to 7 March 2004.

The show was originally broadcast on BBC Two on Friday evenings for the first four series, moving to BBC Choice on weekday evenings for the fifth and sixth series and both series of Extreme, with all four series being repeated on BBC Two in its regular Friday timeslot shortly after the original broadcast.
The Fourth Wars is coming to an end, beginning with two rounds of playoffs, where four will be whittled down to two. Of the remaining two, one will become Robot Wars: The Fourth Wars champions.

The Fourth Wars The series consists of sixteen heats featuring six robots each. The heat format undergoes significant changes, with the first round now consisting of two three-way 'Eliminators' where two robots will progress to the second round.
