Quiz Holdings, LLC, doing business as Quiznos, is an American franchised fast-food restaurant based in Denver that specializes in offering toasted submarine sandwiches. It was founded in 1981 by Jimmy Lambatos and sold to Rick and Richard Schaden ten years later.
Quiznos History. Back in 1978, the original Quiznos sandwich shop opened in a converted Sinclair gas station, under the name of Sandwich World. The chain eventually assumed its current name, Quiznos, in 1981. That same year, Quiznos began franchising and spreading across the United States.
