Lon Morris College (LMC) was a private junior college located in Jacksonville, Texas, United States, and was the only school affiliated with the United Methodist Church that was owned by an individual conference and not the denomination as a whole.
After attaining state accreditation in 1915-16, the school began, in 1919, to advertise itself as the oldest junior college in East Texas. In 1924 it took the name Lon Morris College to honor financial benefactor Alonzo Morris.

In 1873, the school was named Alexander Institute after founder Dr. Isaac Alexander, an East Texas area preacher and educator.
