THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS COMPANIES ACT AND OTHER RELATED LAWS (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2021. (Bill No.67 of 2021) OBJECTS AND REASONS. In 2016, Seychelles enacted a new International Business Companies Act (“IBC Act”), which replaced the old International Business Companies Act of 1994.
SUMMARY OF MAIN AMENDMENTS. Seychelles International Business Companies (IBCs) are incorporated under the International Business Companies Act 2016 (the Act), which has been amended by the International Business Companies (Amendment) Act 2021 (the Amendment Act) and enacted on 6th August 2021.

On Friday, 1 October 2021, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) published a new draft of the Companies Amendment Bill, 2021 (2021 Bill) for public comment. The 2021 Bill is to amend the Companies Act, 2008 (Act). Comments on the Bill must be submitted to the DTI by 31 October 2021.
