Dec 2, 2015 · Afro Samurai movie is basically the summary of what happens in the first season with a flashback of young Afro, whereas Afro Samurai season 2 is a sequel to both. Hence, the recommended order of watching is: Afro Samurai; Afro Samurai: The Movie ; Afro Samurai Season 2
The 5 episodes are the exact same as the first movie. The only difference is that the 5 episodes cuts out about 30 minutes of content iirc. I suggest just watching movie 1 > movie 2. There isn’t a subbed version, it’s an American made anime.
As many might´ve never seen or heard of Afro Samurai - i really enjoyed the series and movie. Its a different approach to anime in my opinion as the MC rarely talks. For anyone interested ive made a 6min recap for it.

I’m so confused on the watch order of Afro Samurai… there’s 5 episodes and two movies. I looked up what order I should watch it in and most people say the movie is just a recap of the first season, but should still be watched and then after that you should watch resurrection (allegedly the second movie) is this true?
