"It's Raining Men" was released on April 30, 2001, as the first single from British singer Geri Halliwell's second solo album, Scream if You Wanna Go Faster (2001). It was also featured as the lead single internationally to the soundtrack of the 2001 film Bridget Jones's Diary .
When released, the single shot straight to #1 for 2 weeks. This was Halliwell's fourth #1 single in a row, and it made her the British female artist with the most #1 singles (11 in total: seven with the Spice Girls and four of her own). Halliwell's version was her fifth single.
