Manchester’s annual remembrance service takes place at its own Cenoptaph on St Peter’s Square. The procession will start at 10.25am on John Dalton Street and travel past the Central Library before reaching the square in time for the traditional two-minute silence.
Birmingham’s annual Remembrance Day Service will take place on Colmore Row, opposite St Philip’s Cathedral, attended by military veterans and Armed Forces representatives. The procession will begin when the Salvation Army band starts playing at 10.15am, with the two-minute silence at 11am as always.
Liverpool’s Service of Remembrance will take place at St George’s Plateau. The Band of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, as well as The Pipes and Drums of The Liverpool Scottish Regimental Association, will play. The event will start at 10.40am, with a two-minute silence taking place at 11am.
