- Abuela Alma. The Madrigal matriarch, Alma, technically didn't have a power of her own, but without her, no one else would either. Alma was given the magical Encanto to raise her triplets and honor her late husband's sacrifice to give them a better life.
- Pepa. Pepa, one of Alma's three children, was given the ability to control the weather with her emotions. Anytime she felt overwhelmed or upset, a storm cloud would appear above her head, growing and shrinking along with the intensity of her feelings.

- Antonio talks to the animals. Audiences get to watch as Antonio (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), the youngest member of the Madrigal family, receives his powers at the beginning of the film.
- Dolores' super-hearing. Dolores (Adassa) has super-hearing, which turns out to be one of the most challenging magical gifts. She acts as a constant source of information for those around her, which makes it difficult for her to ever keep a secret.
- Isabela's control of plants. Isabela (Diane Guerrero), Mirabel's eldest sister, is initially portrayed as being absolutely perfect. She literally has the power of life in her hands, as she can create an endless amount of plants with nothing but a gesture.

Pepa (Carolina Gaitán) is Mirabel's aunt, and her power helps her change the weather with just her mood. The character's feelings can turn a sunny day into a storm in an instant, and if she gets stressed then a raincloud will hang over her head.
Mirabel's mother Julieta (Angie Cepeda) has the ability to heal a person's wounds or illness with one simple thing: her cooking. No matter the ailment that is bothering a person, one bite of Julieta's food and they will be right as rain.
Mirabel has two sisters, and the eldest is Luisa (voiced by Jessica Darrow) who has superhuman strength thanks to the family's magical candle. While she can pick up anything, from a cartful of donkeys to a whole building, Luisa struggles with the pressure of putting all of her family's burdens on her shoulders.
Isabela (Diane Guerrero) is Mirabel's second sister and she is seen as being "perfect" in every way, which is reflected in her power. She can make flowers grow with just a touch of her hand and she predominantly makes roses bloom, but she also learns to make other, less appealing flowers.
Pepa's eldest daughter is named Dolores (Adassa) and she has enhanced hearing that allows her to hear absolutely anything from miles away. Her ability means she is aware of "everyone's dirt" and has also known of Bruno's whereabouts for years, despite the family not knowing what happened to him after his last ominous vision.
Camilo (Rhenzy Feliz) is Dolores' younger brother and he has the ability to shapeshift into anyone he has ever met. Still young, Camilo will often shape-shift into a person in front of them for fun.
