All students live in the same dorms, theres no separation of school. I would say it’s good to have a backup plan. Consider majoring in something that won’t completely kill your GPA bc you’ll need a good one for great law schools.
CLS: large class sizes (easy to get lost), sends a ton of people to BL, has all the advantages of being in NYC, doesn't send a huge number of people to clerk. Yale: an enormous number of clinics, huge section of the student body that wants to do PI, and has a fair number of people who want to do academia*.
