TLDR: Pros: New York City, the academic rigor, study abroad programs, and internship opportunities. Cons: cost and feeling of social isolation. Also if you wanna ask me any questions about NYU or applying, this can be a casual AMA. My inbox is also open for whatever you wanna ask too. ok lol bye now.
Frankly I liked not having a consolidated community. It was nice to not have to live on top of all my classmates, it was good for my mental health to feel like I wasn’t at law school all the time. Law school can be intense and stressful, wherever you do it. Being able to have some psychic space from it all I think is a positive thing.
d3javu26. • 4 yr. ago • Edited 4 yr. ago. I went to NYU law and what made it unique to me was a couple things. First was the thriving public interest/social justice oriented community. NYU sends a greater proportion of its students into public interest than some of its peers and it shows.
Academics Without Boundaries. NYU Law is at the forefront of interdisciplinary research and teaching, with special strengths in law and philosophy, economics, politics, history, and social theory. The result: Students get a deeper understanding of real-world problems.
