   Jun 19, 2003 · No, Honda does not make their own oil, but neither do they make their own oil filters, fuel injectors, speedometers or even engine blocks. They're all subbed out but to meet specific standars. I used to make engine parts for Honda and Toyota ( as well as Volkswagon, and GM).
