I would recommend it to anyone. And the only show I would say is more perfect is The Wire (because it's such a concise, complete package), but ER offers much more of an emotional, personal connection. Enjoy it. If you liked the pilot, you'll love it.

I know most people feel like the quality of the show dips as you get into the later seasons and I don’t disagree, though I still think the show is really good and had great moments. The issues, for me, are: Carter/Luka/Pratt humanitarian trips: there’s nothing wrong with these episodes, but it just took me away from the show I liked.
