May 18, 2023 · ONE of the Borders' most visually stunning school buildings has won praise from education inspectors for the quality of learning within it. Designed by Scottish firm Stallan-Brand, Broomlands Primary School and Nursery Class in Kelso opened in 2018 and features a dramatic 56 feet-long cantilever.
Our school, which is in the beautiful Scottish Borders town of Kelso, serves the north of the town and has a school roll of 242 pupils and we also have our own well subscribed nursery with 37 pupils. Broomlands Primary School first opened its doors to the community in 1979.
