I have a pretty solid base so far west of riverside against the river. A small house that I build a base around that is near the cemetery. Either warehouse, hardware store, a garage, the firefight stations, the carpenter's house and the safehouse that spawns randomly as an event can have a decent chance to find wood splitter axe and the red fire axe, hachets. Hachets can be also found lodged to zeds which you can get by killing & looting them.

Oct 3, 2015 · Use the POI selector in the top right corner to locate it. can try out the "craftable axes" mod in workshop, otherwise having the "lucky perk" can help to find an axe on a corpse, also can forage stones and branches to make a tempoarary axe to hit trees. good luck finding them.

Oct 30, 2014 · So where is the biggest chance of finding axe? I'm in one of the houses down west south from Cortman Medical if that can help. I remember in one of my previous games I haven't found any axe in the smallest warehouses, but later on died after getting infected.
