The first formal PA programme was established in the UK in 2008. Since then, more than 30 HEIs have created PA programmes across the UK. The purpose of the draft curriculum is to provide HEIs across all four devolved UK nations with a standardised framework to ensure high-quality education for PA students.
The Frontline programme is based on the Teach First model used in schools, where candidates are paid the same rates as unqualified teachers for the first year of training. To become a practising PA in the UK, the following steps must be taken: Enrol in a PA programme. In order to become a fully qualified PA, you will need to undertake and pass a PA master’s or diploma course. Prior to this, you need to acquire an undergraduate degree, ideally in a scientific subject.

Jun 12, 2024 · England’s largest social work charity Frontline, has announced that its flagship training programme will be renamed from June 2024 onwards. Beginning in June, the name of the programme will change from the Frontline programme to Approach Social Work.
