Love is at the top of the list for Christians because it best shows God’s char-acter.1 It was love that caused God to create us, to support us, and to make Himself known to us. Love also leads God to give us His Son to save us. John says it so clearly—“God is love” (1 John 4:16).
Jesus teaches us how to love God completely – with our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. Our entire life, character, attitude, and behaviors must focus on loving God.
