In the Forgotten Realms. Maybe even based out of a Sword coast city. If the events of Baldur's Gate 3 are canon, then maybe Waterdeep might be the best starting setting. Season long story arcs. The biggest problem with the first series was it was written before the time that was acceptable.
I felt I would be remiss if I did not ask this subreddit if a list of adventures in chronological order exists? So far the closest thing I have found is this: https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_sourcebooks_in_chronological_order. It is focused on sourcebooks but includes adventures.
