For 2019-20, funding for community-led design can now be accessed through the Scottish Government’s Investing in Communities fund, part of the Empowering Communities Programme. The Investing in Communities Fund is a new streamlined communities fund that builds on the learning from previous Scottish Government community funds.
Two other funds are considered within the interim levelling up agenda: the Community Renewal Fund, which replaces the European Structural and Investment Funds for skills, employment, local businesses, and communities, and the £3.6 billion Towns Fund for 101 towns.
