To demonstrate how your project will help ensure a just transition to net zero, you should focus on: 1. how you will engage your community in how they can take action on climate change, as part of a just transition 2. how you will deliver your project in an environmentally friendly way
You might already be helping your community tackle climate change with your proposed project, and it’s important to highlight this in your application. You may also be planning some elements of your project to tackle another issue, but not realise that this may also be helping tackle climate change as well. Tackling climate change can be grouped in...
Climate Action Hubs
We are building a network of community climate action hubs to provide a more strategic regional approach to action on climate change. The hubs will provide support in their local areas, helping community groups to take advantage of funding opportunities, facilitate better networking, and ensuring a joined-up approach is being taken to tackling climate change at a regional level. Two hubs are currently up and running - North East of Scotland and North Highlands. More information on the hubs, a...

Feb 21, 2023 · The Investing in Communities Fund (ICF) is a multiyear communities fund that is delivered as part of the Empowering Communities Programme. The fund targets our most disadvantaged communities to deliver projects, services and activities that address poverty and disadvantage on their own terms.
The £24.8 million Aspiring Communities Fund was set up to similarly help community bodies and third sector organisations in Scotland’s most deprived and fragile communities develop and deliver long-term local solutions that: • address local priorities and needs. • increase active inclusion.
The Investing in Communities fund can be used for projects seeking to support the development of local place plans. The Planning Bill currently before the Scottish Parliament seeks to introduce a new right for communities to produce plans for their places, with scope for those plans to become part of the statutory development plan.
Applications are now open for The Investing in Communities Fund (ICF) to support organisations based in the places they serve delivering activity across all four of the following areas for action: tackling poverty and inequality, including child poverty
