•ChloeLorde traveled back in time to the Eileanar enclave. She visited the Netheril Mint to collect some of the city's pyramidal currency, learned of its magical anti-counterfeiting prismatic effects from Elgiva and Evemerus, and passed Debac's security measures. Next, she visited Gallery Steamers to purchase a flying ship from Stuckley for a ready escape from the Fall of Netheril. (Spoiler: everyone died.)

•SunderedShor became tongue-tied as he documented the different non-human languages, from Pixie, Dryadic, and Treantish to K'azz'jak'n (the language of neogi) and more, and even got to the bottom of the Alignment languages. (Are they made up entirely of political dog whistles?)

•ItalianKarsus got entangled in intrigues in Suzail, running into such colorful characters as the ruthless dual-wand-wielding War Wizard Kelgantor, the rowdy nobleman Kathkote Dawntard, the club owner known only as Tress, and even the pet stirge known as Thirsty. (Maybe it's an emotional support stirge.)

•We say well met to DM of Dragons, who stopped by Inn Plain Sight, and XStelliferous, who paid a discreet visit to Mother Salinka's House of Pleasure. We also welcome ContactOfSolitude, who rode in on a Demon Grinder from Fort Knucklebone and then wrote of Ladies Khara Sulwood and Mareldraea Hawkguard, two wise rulers of Shadowdale.

•Meanwhile, Tomlesss delved into the dark history of House Thorm; Weisguar followed the Wind Walk through the Sunset Mountains; EngineerDali collected guano at Gull Rocks in the Sea of Swords; and Zeromaru X returned to Akanûl to visit New Breen, Deepspur, and Lake Akax.

•In Juniper's Companion to Venturesome Cookery, halfling wizard Juniper Churlgo (brought to life by Artyom.pavlov) cooks up minty wine sausages from Tethyr.

were rare but renowned magical stones and gems that orbited their owner's heads and bestowed a wide variety of powers and enhancements according to their shape, color, and composition. They could only be crafted by experienced spellcasters well-versed in the creation of magical items. Only certain gems could be used, known collectively as "the nine secrets", though there were at least ten. Some unique ioun stones carried essences and souls from once-living beings, which gave them their power.

They were first created in the year −3462 DR by the precocious young Netherese arcanist Congenio Ioun, marking him as one of the greatest arcanists of his age. By the 14th century, ioun stones were much desired and highly valued, though Congenio Ioun himself had been long-forgotten, with only his name surviving in his creation. Great collections were found in Athalantar, on the Wyvern Crown of Cormyr, and around the head of the mighty lich Larloch, the Shadow King of Warlock's Crypt.

    Who Will Save Existence?

The evil lich-god Vecna has unearthed secrets he can use to unravel and remake the multiverse. Stopping Vecna will require working with three of the multiverse's most famous archmages, traveling to far-flung locales, and rebuilding the legendary Rod of Seven Parts.

is a comic written by Ellen Boener and Jim Zub, drawn by Eduardo Mello, and published by IDW Publishing. A one-off story, it is set in Baldur's Gate and revolves around the deck of many things as a tie-in to the 5th-edition sourcebook The Book of Many Things.

The Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set is the official beginner's guide to 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons. As well as a rule book, the boxed set contains a set of polyhedral dice, characters sheets, and the Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure.

The adventure takes place in the Neverwinter region of the Sword Coast, and the characters are tasked to escort mining supplies to Phandalin. Rumored to exist somewhere near Phandalin is the legendary Wave Echo Cave. During their escort quest, the adventurers are quickly assaulted by the Cragmaw tribe of goblinoids. They later find out that the dwarf who set them on the task, Gundren Rockseeker, has been captured by the same tribe that assaulted them. Their task is to rescue Gundren, and find out what he has learned about the mysterious cave. Throughout their adventure, the characters can seek out the Forge of Spells or even take on the young green dragon, Venomfang.

...it is 25 Mirtul, or the 25th of the Melting. Selûne is a waxing gibbous moon . On this day:

•In 1373 DR, the Monastery of the Yellow Rose was attacked by no less than twenty evil dragons.

•In 1375 DR, the Thayan Guildmaster of Foreign Trade, Samas Kul, was elected Zulkir of Transmutation.

•Zakharans celebrated the Day of Love on the 25th of Mihla. This was a popular day for marriage propositions.

•The village of Bandor was a small but influential mining settlement in ancient Netheril that produced gold and silver extracted from the Barren Mountains.

•The diminutive mechanisms and sometimes semi-intelligent constructs called fighting dolls originated from the Sembian city of Ordulin and were used in "fights" against one another. Some of these toys mutinied and escaped their masters in Baldur's Gate.

•Goldmane's Dazzler was an artifact lantern in the likeness of a lion, created in the ancient City of Song, Myth Drannor. The command word "Dazzle" discharged a beam of light from the lantern that left its targets confused, while the "Roar" command created a powerful cone of concussive force.

•The War Wizard Nalander was a part of the trio that ambushed the fugitive Elminster when he tried to sneak back into Castle Obarskyr after stealing the Royal Gorget of Battle. Despite their best attempts, the Old Mage survived and Nalander perished soon after at the names of Manshoon.

•The Painted Boat restaurant in Ravens Bluff once stood a hundred feet offshore in the Fire River until it was run over by a speeding pirate ship. The owners relocated it to the southwestern beach of the Ladyrock neighborhood, where it resumed pleasing guests with quality seafood and a full schedule of entertainers and musicians.

•The Shadow Veil was a large permanent planar rift in Thay, the land of the Red Wizards, located in the shadows of the cliffs of the Thayan Plateau and the smoke of eruptions from the Thaymount. It allowed passage between the Material Plane and the Shadowfell.
