Mar 10, 2011 · The LPA and the BoMar cuts look similar until you have them side by side. Then they are totally different. All Springfield adjustable sight models (except the TRP Operator) have LPA cuts.
What is the difference between a bo-mar style cut and an LPA TRT style? Is it just the dovetail? So if i were cutting a new dovetail for my rear sight anyways this shouldnt matter...i just have to buy the right dovetail bit yes?
Oct 6, 2022 · The Bomar sight cut is very similar to LPA and is also an adjustable rear sight. However, the elevation adjustment screw is located slightly behind the dovetail cut as opposed to being centered like LPA sights.
Notice the Bo-mar and LPA/TRT are very close in initial appearance but there are a few key differences that will help in determining the correct option. First the Bo-mar cut will have a threaded hole drilled into the slide whereas the LPA/TRT does not.
