CHARACTERISTICS. The curriculum is dynamic and flexible and thus responsive to the changing needs of the individual and of society. It is based on a realistic grasp of the needs of students who live in the 21stcentury.

Our curriculum is designed to be dynamic and to engage students with the issues of a 21 st century world, through the topics we explore and the discussions that we have in lessons. Our aim is to ensure that every student is equipped with a great range of knowledge and skills that will be vital to their development as individuals.
We provide a wide variety of successful academic programmes. While the majority of the Sixth Form are girls continuing their education at Loreto following their GCSEs, we do allocate a number of places to external students. We are delighted to welcome boys as full-time students, making Loreto Sixth Form co-educational. Full Welcome
To facilitate this growth the College aims to provide a balanced and broadly based curriculum accessible to all students, both in the classroom and in the many extra -curricular activities which the school promotes.
We have a group of nine teachers who expertly deliver the junior science curriculum. Seven units are covered in year 8 and six in both year 9 and 10. These units are chosen by each HOD to give a solid foundation to pupils in line with the revised KS3 curriculum and with the GCSE syllabus in mind.
