Jun 1, 2011 · I only know the prep bit of Stonyhurst (have been there for cricket matches). It looked a bit austere to me, but that might be because it poured down mid way through the game. At least one family I know of have moved boys from there to other prep schools, but I don't know why.

At the College, boys board in single Year Groups, generally in rooms of 5-6 in Lower Grammar (Year 9), 4-5 in Grammar (Year 10), 2 in Syntax (Year 11), then reducing to single rooms in Poetry and Rhetoric (Years 12 and 13).
