I think the most important thing of all is research. Read reviews. Check the BBB for complaints. Talk to previous clients if you can. Talk to someone that has been in a home from the same builder for a while. Check for lawsuits in the public record. Go with your gut. If you see lots of bad reviews, find someone else.

Oct 8, 2006 · After lookiing at a lot of different builders and house designs including kit homes, build on site, built off site and trucked in in halves etc. we have finally decided that Simonds Homes have what we want and have come in at a price that is within our budget.
Does anyone here have experience with some of the home builders around OKC, particularly Home Creations and/or Homes by Taber? They both have excellent reviews online but you know how those can get propped up by phony positive reviews put in by the company.
