Santander is cutting the interest rate on its 123 Current Account again, reducing it from 1% to 0.6% AER from 3 August. This is the second reduction to be announced in three months and means Santander will have knocked 0.9% off its 123 account interest rate since the start of May.

Mar 8, 2022 · The banking giant confirmed the in-credit interest rate on its 1|2|3, Select and Private Current Account will rise from 0.30% AER/gross to 0.50% AER/gross (variable) on balances up to £20,000. The new rate of interest will be applied automatically to accounts from 28 March 2022.
