Project: Afternight is a Roblox FNF game created by Project: AE, It strives to bring the most accurate experience the mods it features and has a lot of old developers from Bloxxin' and other RoFNF games. Most devs also work / worked on FNF mods themselves.
Project: Afternight plays roughly the same as most RoFNF games, having the player join a "stage", pick a category, song and difficulty via its UI. Before playing like a traditional FNF song. Either by yourself, in a 1v1, a 2v2, or a 4v4.
Afternight also features a "shop" but unlike most RoFNF's, it's content like animations, icons, noteskins and notesplashes are unlocked by playing the mod or song the item is from. It does not use a "points" system in anyway, and as such does not have ANY micro-transactions.
Custom Icons are also a feature, unlocked by getting 50 unique song FCs (Full Combos), allowing the user to upload their own icon set using a similar structure to Psych Engine's icon system. (Being Neutral, Losing, Winning in a 150x150 to 450x150 image).
Different from Friday Night Bloxxin's and Funky Friday's tag systems, which allow the user to spend tons of points for 1 customizable tag, Afternight's tag system is by doing very well in a specific song on a specific difficulty, usually the hardest song of the mod, or the most fitting one. These tags are then personalized specifically to fit the mod (ex. the Doki Doki tab is "Club Member", or the ULTRAKILL tab adds Prime at the end of the user's name, referencing the Prime Souls).
