- Prestige Cosmetics
Prestiging is a feature that was added in The Roleplay Update of SCP: Roleplay, which allows players to essentially reset a team they have at max rank all the way back to zero in exchange for different cosmetic and small gameplay-affecting rewards, in the form of more Weapon Attachments exclusive to Prestiges.
Players can prestige a team through the main menu, a team that's eligible for prestiging will have an arrow icon under it's rank on the menu. Clicking this icon will present the player with a prompt, and selecting yes will consume the team XP equivalent required for max rank on that team (e.g. 1260 XP on Rapid Response Team), and providing the rewards afterwards. This can be done up to three times, with each prestige tier giving better rewards.
A player that has Prestiged a team will have multiple stars equivalent to how many times they've Prestiged visible under their rank tag.
Note that if a player has more team XP past the max rank threshold, they'll keep that XP afterwards, alongside their rank should that excess XP be enough for it, meaning players can potentially prestige the full 3 times in a row should they have enough XP for it.
Prestiged teams will have a colored border on their icon in the menu, with a red border being for Prestige 1, a blue border for Prestige 2, and finally a gold border for Prestige 3. Note that, in the case of the Mobile Task Forces, the regular icon (not in their own menu), it will mix the different border of colors if each Mobile Task Force unit has a different prestige tier.
Finally, prestiged teams will also have stars in the bottom left corner of the icon, sharing the same color as the border, equivalent to how many Prestige tiers it has.
Prestige Cosmetics are, as the name suggests, cosmetics unique to Prestige tiers, that can be equipped at Equipment Lockers.
To access Prestige Cosmetics, players must click on the arrow on the left side of an equipment locker's menu, so it's facing downwards. After that, clicking on most cosmetics in the "Visual" tab will yield a different appearance for them.
