Jun 14, 2024 · One such axiom — “Work harder and you’ll succeed” — has been a mantra for many, myself included. But over time, and after authoring a successful book on mindfulness and Eastern philosophy, I’ve come to question it. It’s not that hard work isn’t important; it certainly is.
- You Didn’t Come This Far to Only Come This Far. This is one of the best motivational mantras as it is a great reminder of how far we have come.
- You Get What You Focus On. This mantra keeps our minds focused on what is important. So often we have a tendency to fall in the trap of having very negative thoughts that consume us.
- You Can Find an Excuse or You Can Find a Way. In every crisis, you have two options: keep going or give up. Usually, if we choose to keep going we are able to overcome whatever obstacle lies before us.
- Wake Up. Kick Ass. Be Kind. I love the simplicity of this mantra. Despite its simplicity however, it says it all. The ultimate goal in life is to be the best at whatever it is we do, which in return brings us satisfaction.
- Focus. In a world filled with distractions, it can be challenging to stay focused on our goals. The mantra “focus” can help us to concentrate on what’s important and eliminate the distractions that are holding us back.
- Believe. Belief in ourselves and our abilities is essential to achieving success. The mantra “believe” can help us to cultivate self-confidence and trust in our own abilities.
- Gratitude. Practicing gratitude can help us to appreciate the good things in our lives and cultivate a positive outlook. The mantra “gratitude” can remind us to be thankful for all that we have.
- Patience. In a world where everything is instant, it can be challenging to be patient. The mantra “patience” can help us to cultivate a sense of calm and understanding, even in the most challenging situations.
May 24, 2015 · Pick one (or more) of them that relates to your present troubles, and use it as a mantra by repeating it to yourself every time you feel negativity creeping up inside you. If the grass looks greener on the other side… Stop staring. Stop comparing. Stop complaining and start watering the grass you’re standing on.
