   Who made the NVT rambler?

   • NVT was formed in the latter 7o's when the then British government bailed out what was left of the British bike industry. The rambler was assembled in Birmingham form parts sourced from various suppliers. Engines, electrics, clocks and indicators were supplied by Yamaha. forks were Italian Marzocchi, wheels, brakes and suspension were also Italian.

    In 1973, the British government's attempt to rescue the motorcycle industry forced a merger of the BSA (including their subsidiary Triumph) and Norton-Villiers, in return for funds to remain in business. The resultant company was called Norton Villiers Triumph (NVT).
