Jun 19, 2024 · Its origins date to the time before the residents of Grass Hill, today, the campus of Northfield Mount Hermon voted (February 28, 1795) to secede from Northfield and join the town of Gill. The earliest surviving stone that I’ve seen there reads:

Both the interior and the exterior of the church were filmed in the Memorial Chapel at Northfield Mount Hermon School. Positioned strategically, the chapel commands sweeping views of the Connecticut River, amplifying the serenity and significance of its role as a gathering space.
Most of the inhabited areas in town lie along the Connecticut River, and the town's main villages include East Northfield, Mount Hermon Station, Gill Station, Northfield Farms, and Sky Farm (between Brush Mountain and Northfield State Forest).
Mount Hermon Cemetery There are eight public burying grounds in the town of Northfield. That doesn’t count Round Top where D.L. Moody and his wife, Emma, repose, or Evelyn Hall’s resting place next to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel (formerly Sage Chapel) to name only two other gravesites.

Jul 11, 2020 · Northfield was dear to Moody, and Moody Center recognizes that it is the ideal location for the work of continuing the legacy and vision of this evangelist. In 2017, twelve years after the Northfield and Mount Hermon schools consolidated to Mount Hermon’s campus, a quarter of the old Northfield campus was given for the creation of Moody Center.
