Siege battle are smoother in Napoleon as the ones in Empire are draggy. NTW should have a larger multiplayer hub, so you can find more battles there. Speak of MPs, you can play MP campaigns in NTW, whereas you can't in ETW.
If you haven’t tried it out yet, I would highly recommend a mod for Nepoleon called Nepoleon Total war 3/ NTW3. It has a really large multiplayer following and puts huge focus on the correct regiments of the time and uniforms. The game play is also adjusted to give it a much greater realistic feel. Units can’t just run around every where.
