Aug 9, 2015 · Hello, does anyone know if the game series "The lord of the ring : The battle for Middle Earth " (the first one and the latest with dlcs) work on Windows 10? I didn't find them in the Games Compatibility List... Furthermore, it was already quite hard to make them work on Windows 7 and 8/8.1. Thank you very much guys!
Run DXSETUP.exe as administrator and follow the instructions on the screen. Restart your computer. (Optional) Remove the folder with the extracted installation files if you wish to conserve space. This is perfectly harmless, as the files have been installed in the proper system folders.

A user called Lisulis posted this solution in the Windows help forum: Hi All, I have found a solution for windows 10! So the options.ini file creation does work.
May 20, 2017 · BTW I'm running Windows 10 . I resolved the problem. I uninstalled, and then resintalled BFME II again, but did not install the 1.09 patch. Then I installed ROTWK and it is working ok. I now have all three games working again, and no cd, so I'm really pleased. Great to be able to play the games again, and on Windows 10.

Jul 22, 2015 · I'm going to try this reply I found below out and see if it does the trick. The instructions below I know work for Vista, Windows 7, 8, and 8.1. Hopefully it will for windows 10. The game was not allowed to create an options.ini in the C:\Users\ [your login name]\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth (tm) Files folder.
