Aug 12, 2024 · To create an “Ideal Kamae,” it is essential to first cultivate a dignified standing posture. The ideal is to exude a sense of strength and readiness to face your opponent with a composed and respectful demeanor from the very start. As a prerequisite, careful attention must be given to your attire.
This stance is a subset of the Chūdan-no-kamae and is primarily defensive, designed to parry incoming attacks and set up counterstrikes. It exemplifies AKBAN's teachings on the importance of solid foundations and patient strategy.
