Zebinix may be taken as monotherapy or added to existing anticonvulsant therapy. The recommended starting dose is 400 mg once daily which should be increased to 800 mg once daily after one or two weeks.
It is available as tablets (200 mg, 400 mg, 600 mg and 800 mg) and as a suspension to be taken by mouth. For adults and children weighing 60 kg or more, treatment is started at a dose of 400 mg once a day, before increasing it to the standard dose of 800 mg once a day after one or two weeks.
