The Hallé offers a range of opportunities for children and young people to engage with music-making on a weekly basis. Our youth and children’s choirs open to all by audition, are free to join and welcome over 200 young singers on a weekly basis to sing with inspirational choral leaders.
Hallé for Youth is the annual series of schools’ concerts performed by the Hallé at The Bridgewater Hall, one of the country’s finest concert halls, which provide a live music experience for young people who, in most cases, have never heard a symphony orchestra before.
Hallé Youth Training Choir membership is for promising young singers aged 13 to 15 years (in school years 9 – 11) who want to learn more about music and singing. All members are required to attend weekly rehearsals on Sunday afternoons during the Autumn and Spring terms at Hallé St Peter’s, Ancoats.

The Hallé offers a range of regular, local and free ensemble experiences for young people aged 8 –19 years. We also offer adults (aged 18+) the chance to sing in one of the best symphony choruses in the UK, or one of our non-auditioned choirs for fun.
