  4. Sep 1, 2021 · It’s one of the most elegant parks in the city and known as Gramercy Park. The beautiful Victorian townhouses in the surrounding area date back to the first half of the 19th century and have had many famous residents, such as Mark Twain and Julia Roberts.

  5. Oct 1, 2015 · I spent an hour one morning exploring the Gramercy Park area. Very charming, with beautifully ornated buildings. The park of course is closed to non-residents but it's nice to peek through the gates. I recommend the short hop on foot down to 19th Street between Irving Place and 3rd Avenue. Look up. Keep looking up. All kinds of surprises await....
