Ruiz was excellent in midfield, after replacing Canales early in the game. He carried the ball forward well, made terrific runs beyond the striker, and in general, was a vital cog in the Spanish attacking play.

Garcia replaced Ramos late in the first half, and had his most comfortable outing in Spain colours thus far.
Marco Asensio - 6/10
Asensio came on to replace Ferran Torres, but didn't do much in the time he was on the pitch.
Manuel Neuer - 4/10
There was nothing that he could have really done about any of the first five Spain goals. For the sixth, he should have been more decisive, and come out to stop the ball at Gaya's feet, after the left-back's heavy first touch.
Matthias Ginter - 4/10
Ginter could not deal well enough with the combination of Gaya and either Ferran Torres or Olmo. He was often left isolated against multiple Spanish attackers, that left him completely exposed.
Niklas Sule - 4/10
Sule only remained on the pitch for the first half, after which he was replaced by Jonathan Tah. When he was on the pitch, Spain scored off two set-pieces, which was because of an organisational issue that he should have taken responsibility to sort out.
