Feb 21, 2021 · tModloader will not connect to non-tModLoader Terraria servers. If you want to play together, you must either use Terraria, or your friends must install and launch tModLoader. Think of them as 2 completely separate games.
Jul 25, 2024 · tModLoader uses separate folders to store player (.plr) and world (.wld) files, mainly because it will store additional data for them. Your vanilla players and worlds will be stored in: %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\Terraria (for Windows) in the Players and Worlds folders respectively.
tModLoader shares the cloud storage space with Terraria (the total quota is about 950 MB). Exceeding this limit on Terraria + tModLoader combined will make you unable to move players and worlds to the cloud until sufficient storage is available. Easiest way to free up room is to "un-cloud" worlds, they take up the most space.
