    • Shrub Roses. The most prolific group is the modern shrub rose, which includes the majority of the roses you might pick up in a nursery or garden center.
    • English Roses. “English Roses” is a term coined by the prolific UK-based rose breader David Austin to encompass the 100-plus cultivars that he has produced at his vast nursery in Shropshire, where many thousands of seedlings are raised each year in a huge breeding program.
