When the player starts a new game, they can choose one of these 23 magics, each with its own special strengths and weaknesses. On their own they're roughly equal in power, however, in a team setting some magics can combine with others to become more powerful (such as Ice and Water magic freezing opponents, or Fire and Wood boosting each other's dam...

All clash interactions between magics in World of Magic. The magic on the left is the one hitting the opposing magic on the top. If the number is below 1, it loses the clash, but if it is above 1, it wins.
World of Magic has an advanced Damage Calculation for magic attacks. More Information on the specific multipliers is found there.
The more amount of projectiles fired means less damage per shot, the longer the duration of an explosion attack means the less damage per explosion. Decreasing the blast size and explosion size means more damage but a smaller hitbox per shot.

Magic related stat builds will be able to unlock new or boost already existing magic that they have, those are following:
-Mage (Full magic (over 60% of stat points spent on it) ) Awakening #1: 2nd Magic Awakening #2: 3rd Magic
-Paladin (Magic/Vitality (40% or higher of each) ) Awakening #1: 2nd Magic Awakening #2: Magic, fighting style, and weapon damage all boosted slightly + 10% damage reduction (?)
-Warlock (Magic/Strength (40% or higher of each) ) Awakening #1: Magic infused fighting style skills and skill size boost + Fighting style damage begins to scale off of magic+strength stats Awakening #2: Choice of 2nd Fighting Style or 2nd Magic
-Conjurer (Magic/Weapons (40% or higher of each) ) Awakening #1: Magic infused weapon skills and skill size boost + Weapon skill damage begins to scale off of magic+weapon stats Awakening #2: 2nd Magic
-Savant (Mixed stats (15% or more in all stats) ) Awakening #1: Magic, fighting style, and weapon damage all boosted + Choice of 2nd Magic or 2nd Fighting Style Awakening #2: Magic, fighting style, and weapon damage all boosted + Choice of 2nd Magic or 2nd Fighting Style
Magic Energy or as some call it, 'Mana', is a part of the User Interface that relates to casting spells. Every time you cast a spell your magic energy lowers; magic energy can be restored by holding down the shift key. You start off with 100 magic energy, but each level you get +5 magic energy to your max amount of energy. Currently the highest amount of magic Magic Energy you can have is 545 at level 90.
The color of your Magic Energy bar changes depending on your magic. The following bars are for Water, Plasma, Magma, Poison, Shadow, Ink, and Ash magic (in order).
•In Arcane Adventures, World of Magics predecessor, (although lore-wise, Arcane Odyssey is WoM's predecessor) players could only select from Fire, Lightning, Light, Wind, Earth, Shadow, and Water magics. There were no color variations, and magics had no create-able spells, instead of having predefined spells for each magic that you unlocked as you leveled up.
•In Arcane Adventures, a magic could mutate into other magics (e.g., Wind -> Gravity Magic, or Lightning -> Storm Magic. These are just a few of the many other magics wind and lightning (the example magics) can mutate into. More mutations can be found here
•. In WoM, some of these mutations have become base magics. Some of these mutations can be easily identified as Plasma, Ash, Magma, Explosion, Sand, Ice, Crystal, Poison, and Acid Magic. It is likely that these former mutations became base magics from a combination of the concept of mutations being simply forgotten about and the refining of magic that took place over years.
•Originally, the Mastery and Awakened tiers of magic were called Maker and Dragon/God/Demon, respectively.
•In the game, Magic was given to humans by Prometheus instead of fire, which was the gift he gave us in "realistic" Greek Mythology.
•If you want a magic with the best stat for size, speed, damage (Initial damage or DoT), destruction, here are some: Gold for highest damage (In AO it is Metal Magic, which is the new name of the magic for gold and iron, which will be a single magic), Light for speed, Explosion for destruction, and Poison for the most DoT.
