Jun 11, 2024 · Come to think of it, chokestone makes a lot more sense (a stone in a choke), while chockstone sounds like tautology, and doesn't explain that it's in a constriction. Not sure that works; 'Struggle over the strenuous tautology...'. There again, maybe it does.
- Water. Hydrating, inexpensive and sugar-free: water is the best choice for drinking over the day. If you want to give it some flavour without adding sugar, try adding ice cubes and fresh mint or strips of cucumber.
- Tea or coffee without sugar. Although some people think that the caffeine in tea and coffee might damage their health, this isn’t the case for most people.
- Sugar-free drinks e.g. sugar-free cola, sugar-free lemonade, and no-added-sugar squash. These drinks contain artificial sweeteners, which will provide a sweet taste but won’t have an effect on blood sugar levels, which is good for people with diabetes.
- Fruit juice (150mls) Stick to 150mls and a glass of pure, unsweetened juice can count as one of your 5 a day. But be aware that even though fruit juice will come with vitamins, it also contains free sugars – 2-3 tsp in a small glass.

Oct 31, 2023 · A chockstone is a rock that is wedged in a crack because the crack narrows downward (Figure 5-3). Chockstones should be checked for strength, security, and crumbling and should always be tested before use. All chockstones must be solid and strong enough to support the load.
In rock climbing, a nut (or chock or chockstone or wire for the smallest versions) is a metal wedge threaded on a wire that climbers use for protection by wedging it into a crack in the rock. Quickdraws are clipped to the nut wire by the ascending climber and the rope threads through the quickdraw.
Wedged between dark roasted malts and full-flavoured cereal grains, Chockstone is brewed for shorter days and longer nights. A beer that matches the colder season and suspends itself high in the mountain landscape, built entirely with our favourite Albertan malts.
