Jan 5, 2014 · As for linking the woman-wisdom to other uses of female personification, I do this to prevent eisegesis. The OP's question focuses on Proverbs, but that book is but one of 66, and a literary device one author uses in one book of Scripture is often used by another author elsewhere.

- A Godly Woman Fears the Lord. Proverbs 31:30 says… “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.” Rather than focusing on outward beauty or appealing to other people, a godly woman focuses on God first.
- She Speaks and Behaves Wisely. Proverbs 31:26-27 says… “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”

If we want to be wise in the way we live, we're told to listen to Lady Wisdom, not to the woman without maturity or sense. Throughout the Bible the concept of wisdom is described as insight that leads to living life well.
